and asked me if she could have a sleep over in there

Chloe, Cole and I at the "Santa Train in Boulder City"

Me, Mrs Claus, Chloe & Santa on the Santa Train

Christmas is right around the corner and man it has sure snuck up on me this year.

I have been playing the "stay at home mom" roll for about 6 weeks now... Not sure if I am a fan of it or not. I enjoy being home with my kids believe me. But I miss adult time, by this I mean talking to adults and being at work. I have about 6 more weeks of this time with my kids until I have to go back to working full time. We've done quite a few things to keep us busy while I have been home but not having a car sure makes it difficult.

My sister and brother in law came down for Thanksgiving, we went and saw Santa aat Ethel M's. Chloe enjoyed this, she told Santa that she wants a "Hannah Montana sparkly microphone". Cole was only about two weeks old at the time but he sure coperated. It was very cold, I thought he would of scream his head off but instead we kept him warm by putting him in jacket as you can see.

A good friend of mine invited me and the kids to go to the Bellagio and check out the Christmas display they have set up. Chloe loved it main reason she got to she her grandpa, since my dad works there and he was working at the time.

My mom called me and told me her and my dad were planning a 3 day road trip to see my sister and brother in law in Reno and asked me if Chloe could go with. I said yes with out hesitation due to mommy needed a little break from Chloe. Well 3 days turned into my great idea of letting her stay there over a week because my sister is on break from college right now. I also thought she would like the snow since we have snow once every 20 years here. She made a snow man in the park and got to be pulled around in the sled. Then the snow melted due to lots of rain. She is getting spoiled by her Aunt and Uncle and loving every minute of it. She is still up there right now but coming home tomorrow, I miss her so much!!

Cole Justen Solorzano

After what felt like 10 long months of being pregnant, Thursday 11/11 morning at 5:30 am I went to the hospital to have my c-section. Get there, the maternity ward is packed with pregnant women or women who just had there babies. Like did everyone want to have there babies on veterans day or what? So they put me in a room with two other ladies who where in full blown labor. Now keep in mind only a curtain was separating us, someone who has never been in labor before let me tell u it sounded scary. The one lady was dilated to a 7, screaming at her husband something is coming out get the nurse. Nurse comes in checks her, she is at a 9. They wheel her away, 20 minutes later I am still waiting & here comes her husband wheeling in a crib. I'm like no way that was to fast.

About 7:30 they come and wheel me to the operating room, the guy who gives u the drugs I can't spell it but he was hilarious... cracking jokes about my tattoos, they had the radio on in the operating room. It was just a chilled atmosphere I wasn't nervous at all. I am just laying there waiting to hear a cry from my son. Then I hear my dr. say "Holy cow look at the shoulders on that guy". My mom goes he has to weigh more then your brother did. My brother was 8, 14. I'm thinking no way... Then I heard him cry, made me so happy to know he is finally here. Then my mom went with him & the nurse down stairs to weigh him. They called up to my dr. & told her he was 9 pounds, 11 ounces. I couldn't believe it, I worked my whole pregnancy in a warehouse. Towards the end I was very uncomfortable & now I knew why.

Around 10 I was still in recovery which with Chloe I was in a room right away but like I said it was so packed with pregnant women there finding a room was almost impossible. Chloe wasn't supposed to come back there but they let her, my mom, my dad, my sister & my brother in law. Shortly after I finally got a room, but on the ICU pediatrics floor full of sick kids. So I wasn't allowed to leave my room, to avoid getting my newborn son sick. My nurses were wonderful, I felt so blessed to have them help me the way they did. Then Friday a room on the maternity floor finally opened up and I got moved down there.

Saturday afternoon we got to come home, and I think Chloe was more happy then I was. She was so sad that she was not allowed to sleep in the hospital with me for 2 nights. She got to sit next to her brother the car ride home and make sure he was ok. She felt so important. The first night sleeping was a joke, it was the night of the UNLV football game. So we heard it all, the kids kinda slept but we were all in the living room. Chloe refused to sleep in her room with out her brother.

Today Cole is 5 days old, he is a wonderful little boy. He nurses very well, which is a huge relief for his momma. Even though it is not the most comfortable thing in the world but MUCH cheaper & healthier then formula. I'm looking forward to being able to push them in the awesome double stroller I got, to the park here shortly...

4 days and Counting!!

4 days and counting to be exact, my life is going to change... I will no longer be a beached whale and have a little man in my life. Which is going to be a huge change since there has been no man in this life for the last 2.5 years. I'm excited to meet him, see what he looks like and see how Chloe is going to handle not being an only child anymore. Friday was my last day of work until Februaryish... I wanted to take some time off before he was born so Chloe and I could enjoy our last mommy and daughter time. Yesterday we made homemade rice crispie treats and tomorrow we plan on making brownies and cookies and some sort of craft for Thanksgiving. I'm actually looking forward to the sleepless nights, ask me in about a week if I still feel the same. HA... Because I am so bored these days stuck here in the house with no car, he will defiantly keep me unbored I shall say. These last few days have been hard on me because it seems like alot of my friends whose babies have been due after me have gone into labor already and I just feel its so unfair!! So 5 am is going to come early but I'm ready to meet you little Cole.
